quit working after a few months. lost the led screen. i may have gotten a bad one ? i'm not sure if this is a common problem.

Too big and heavy for use on a bookshelf as a cd player.

Very disappointed. The sound is bright and tinny. The equalization settings do not help. This item is also too large for its purpose. Even at half price, save your money. The only way I can listen to this unit, without getting a headache, is at very low volume settings.. My small Bose MediaMate computer speakers leave this in the dust for sound quality.

This was my moms Christmas gift and she could not love it more. It’s sleek and sounds great.

nice controls but poor audio response--lack of bass

The Insignia All In One Shelf System radio is a reasonably priced outstanding radio in all aspects. Most of the playing features and fine settings are handed thru the remote (excellent preset equalizer sounds; repeat one, all, random; setting the clock, FM presents, the clock, etc). The built-in 40 watt sub-woofer (mounted on the bottom of the radio) adds unbelieveable quality to the sound. And the two front speakers are equal to the Bose type systems, albiet a slightly different touch to the Insignia speaker sound. The USB stick plays mp3 files, has a bluetooth option for playing songs from a smart phone, AND a CD player. I have this radio sitting on a hard surface, which really makes the bottom pointed woofer shine with reflective sound. This Insignia radio is one fine sounding unit that I highly recommend. I'm picky about sound - I'm a musician. Go for it, you'll love this electronic music playing system.

It was finicky at first, but then it seemed ok. It quit working entirely on day 15. Which is when I found out I can't return it after 14 days. This was my first time ordering from Best Buy and now it's my last.

This Insignia shelf system is my second attempt at a self-contained stereo for my small house. The sound from this unit is great!! Love that it has a sub-woofer built in for good low tones. And the volume is plenty loud for my 800 square foot living space. The Bluetooth pairs easily with my devices and I like being able to play CD's as well. I am pleasantly surprised by this purchase and highly recommend.

The design goes splendidly with my mid-century furnishings. It looks like a little piece of happiness and puts out amazingly good sound. It's also very easy to use. Instructions are clear and simple as is the remote control, which is almost fun to operate. And I can actually see the buttons and symbols, and can read the instructions without a magnifying glass. That's rare nowadays and so much appreciated. The only thing that could make it better is if it had AM in addition to the available FM. I'd also pay a bit more money to get a wood casing instead of plastic.

Nice radio, unfortunately by the time I tried inserting a CD, discovered that it would not accept it. Was past return/exchange period.

I wanted to buy another BOSE Radio, but one equipped with a CD player. But the price is a non-starter, so I looked around and found this unit at Best Buy. It is big, no doubt, but also puts out great sound, has a built in CD player, and fits nicely on my kitchen counter top where I like to listen to NPR and play books on CDs. Easy to operate, sturdy, and the color is perfect with my quartz kitchen counter top. This unit could also be used as a soundbar with a TV, so lots of flexibility. Best Buy gives you a 1 year guarantee since it is their brand. Perfect for a bedroom radio, kitchen radio, or as a TV receiver unit in your living room. Simple, excellent quality, looks good, and I expect it to last for years.
