I searched for months for what I wanted with no luck. I felt there had to be something good with an under $100 price. I actually came upon this by accident and the great reviews convinced me to try it out. Im so glad I did. I love the look of this stereo. I was looking for something vintage looking but with all the technology I needed. This is absolutely perfect. Looks great in my bedroom and the sound is fantastic! Right out of the box you can see the quality and how solid the stereo is. All the materials feel high end. Only one thing I would add, a sleep timer. Sometimes I like to pop in a relaxation CD at bed time. A sleep timer would be very useful. I wake up all the time though so no big deal I can use the remote to turn it off, so thats why it still gets 5 stars. I am a new fan of Best Buy's Insignia brand! I hope they never discontinue it.

Rivals my Bose bookshelf system at a fraction of the price. I bought this system to boost my computers sound for my headphones. I am blown away at the sound quality at this price point. Highly recommend it for office or bedroom system.

Saw this in store and thought it'd be a nice update to the classic tabletop consoles of old. Decent sound, great look, but it fails with the front ports for USB and aux in. Why create the clean classic look and ruin it by having cables stick out the front. Especially if you're leaving a chromecast audio or Alexa Dot attached. Plenty of room in the back for those ports. Shame.

First of all, I have to point out that I bought this when it was $70. At that price this is without doubt the best audio related value I remember buying in decades. It’s worth $150, however, because it’s powerful, accurate, and it’s FM sensitivy is excellent. Bluetooth also works well. Bear in mind in person it’s bigger and heavier than expected...but well worth finding a spot for. I wish I had bought three of them (at $70).

Bought this on sale for $79.99, It's a little bigger then I expected, sound is great, looks are great. Not sure why it doesn't have an AM tuner. I can't imagine it would take much to have FM and AM but I would hardly listen to AM anyway. All it all great product.

I bought this to replace my dying Cambridge Soundworks Model 88 and find I'm disappointed with it's lack of 'oomph'. It's an OK radio but it has no scan feature. The CD has no shuffle, but it does play MP3s burned to disk. The line-in allows me to plug in my iPod and the Bluetooth allows me to connect my iPhone and play Spotify. I would overlook most of this if it had any kick to it due to it's missing low end. The reviews sang it's praises but I'm not feeling it. Is there sometime I'm missing??

Wow, this outfit is the best bang for the buck that I found in many a day. On sale, what a deal. An audio feast. Decent FM reception with standard skinny wire, clear, easy to use. Looks great. CD plays Nat King Cole like a champ.

Pros: Good sound and functions for its price. Cons: When using bluetooth as input and headphones as output, there is loud buzzing from the headphones. Not sure if this problem only exists on my system or a general problem.

This inexpensive stereo far exceeded my expectations. It provides relatively high quality sound for 20 by 20 room. Great buy if you can pick one up on sale for under $100

Good sounding stereo. I'm disappointed with the FM. Can only get a couple stations clearly but not the one I want. Not the distance...if I stand in the middle of the room and hold the antenna up, probably 85% clearer. First time I have ever had a problem with any FM but it may be where I live. I'm in a mobile home in Alamo, TX that has a double roof. Lotta metal. Don't know if that makes a difference. If BB actually reads the reviews any idea how I can improve. Bad FM may be a deal breaker.

-I bought this due to replace A huge Panasonic ak330 3 piece book shelf stereo had a lot of audio noise. I’m not picking with stereo equipment at $79 to $99 sales price. That I know not Match A Bose radio or A pricy high-end audio system. Once setup good cd player or link To any device via A 3.5 MM Aux cables. I can’t give 5 out of 5 stars Give 4 star due to kind of big if A little smaller Give full 5 stars. Once I setup work well but plug fm antenna cable can upgrade fm antenna If needs It. Works well after having for more than 2 months still has good sound .

I had an expectation after reading other reviews that this product would have incredible sound, deep base, and richness. Some people compared it to the Bose Wave Radio. I own a Bose Wave Radio, and I can attest to the fact that this product is not even close to having the sound quality of the Bose, and would say that anyone who would compare the two does not really have a Bose to compare it to. That being said, for the price, it should be obvious that you are buying a low end product, and your expectations should be thus. I ended up giving this to my daughter to keep in her room, the size of her room should be adequately filled by this. If you are looking at this as something other than a kids room, or maybe a small office space, it's adequate, it makes enough sound (not quality sound) to fill in and keep as background noise. I must point out that I am OK with my purchase, it serves a purpose now as a kids room stereo, and it's good enough for that. Anyone who says that they are an audiofile, and they are impressed, is full of junk. Anyone who compares this to anything other than a $100 stereo/radio, is full of junk. It is NOT of the same sound quality as the Bose, it is NOT rich full sound, it is NOT anything more than a small shelf radio. My recommendation is this; if you are looking for a shelf radio in your garage, or in your kids room, or maybe the three season porch, this will suffice. Don't buy this thinking that you are getting a "cheap" Bose Wave Radio, it's not that.

Nice product. I purchased 2 of these units, still working well many years later.. although the Bluetooth quit working on 1 of the units after the warranty period.

Used it for a few years, really good quality while it lasted.

I got this for Mother's day gift my Mother loves it. Good quality. I will definitely recommend this.

Are you annoyed your audio equipment doesn't reset itself to a high volume to disturb your neighbors? If you set the volume to 3 or even minimum before turning off your unit Insignia's Blast-O-Matic [TM] will make sure the volume jumps to 14 when you turn it back on. Others have complained about the blasting volume feature. When I used the unit a few times no problem, the volume would retain its last setting. I was disappointed I didn't have Blast-O-Matic [TM] but it finally kicked in, making sure my next door neighbor in this apartment building would jumped awake in the middle of the night.

USB has no shuffle/Random Turn it off,... turn it on and the volume goes high to where it will blow the speakers. JUNK - even when bought on sale.

I've had this for about 6 months now and within the last month it has just started turning off. I'm not aware of any timer being set and it seems to be random as far as how long it stays on. Really annoying!!!
