1st of all for $99.00 this thing does not hype the true sound of the source material in any drastic ways. It is very neutral, warm highs, lows and mid range. Very Comfortable Neutral Sound. I listened to the $349.00 Bose, yes it has richer hyped bass and high end etc. Some people like that others dont. Regardless testing it out at home I had it cranked all the way up and no distortion with every song I threw at it. So I am Very Impressed with this model and even bought a second one for my wife to put out by the pool. If you want it to sound even better? Get a couple granite or thick tiles less than 7 dollars at home depot to place the unit on. This will reflect the Sub woofer for the bass and make it sound even better..

Picked this up during a 50% off sale, 75 bucks. It’s a great radio at that price point. If your an audiophile you shouldn’t be looking at this radio anyways. It’s perfect for a spare room, workshop, garage. Been using it for 6 months in my garage and it’s perfect for what I needed.

The unit is larger than I expected and it has somewhat retro look. Sound quality is good, but I would have preferred separate tone controls, especially for the built in subwoofer. Seems like higher volume performance is better than lower, but for the price this is a good unit. Build in FM receiver is handy.

Solid unit. Sound is crisp and clear. CD player is a welcomed addition to the room.

Great Stereo, would recommend this unit , has good sound and cd works great.

The Insignia 80w Audio system represents a fair value. Sound quality is pretty good though stereo imaging is limited due to the speakers being so close together. Which also means it takes up very little space, which was a requirement for my situation. The software (programming and accessing radio presets, for example) is awkward.

Had to exchange several times because every time I turned it off and on it would start on volume 14 (very loud!!!). Apart from that the bluetooth function is great and it comes with a remote.

Sounds very good for my small art studio. I like the retro look too.

Needed a presentable radio/CD player for my living room, one that also had good sound. This Best Buy Insignia audio system is perfect for what I wanted. The sale price was an extra benefit. The one negative: it is easy to program stations, but a mystery how to un-program or re-program them. Still haven't figured it out.

I bought this because at 62,.it reminded me of a Panasonic Quad system, I bought back in 74.. Incredible sound.. absolutely blown away,..and..yes, my hearing is perfect!! I'm going to buy more for Christmas Gifts..
