Seems to take longer to warm food. Not a fan of door handle verse button but for the price would buy again. Good for apartment and temp needs

Do NOT buy, DEFECTIVE and LOUD, maybe dangerous.

This is the LOUDEST microwave, so loud it’s probably defective and dangerous. I reported it via phone the day received yet they made NO note in my account of my intent to return. Now I cannot print the return label and I am out 90.00 for a DEFECTIVE microwave. No way Best Buy…this is WRONG. You need to HONOR my request to return defective as it was TIMELY. I have been a good customer, I suggest you HONOR your customers.

15 day return policy and rude manager.

I didn’t end up needing the microwave so I attempted to return it. Not aware that Best Buy has a 15 day return policy. I was just over 30 days when I tried to return the microwave. The young man at the counter made me aware of the return policy. I told him that it was still on their website for sale and still on their shelf. The box was unopened. I was told they would be willing to do an in store credit. But I asked to speak to a manager to see if they would be willing to refund me the money, regardless of me being a little over the return policy. the store manager was very rude from the moment he walked up to the counter. I explained to him I wasn’t aware of their 15 day return policy and felt that that was a little short. He came back saying that Best Buy feels that 15 days is plenty of time for you to decide if you like to keep the product. When I said OK, could I please just get the in-store credit the manager went back and said no we won’t give you that either. It was a very disheartening experience. I would’ve returned it within the timeframe if I was aware of their 15 day return policy yes that’s on me. But life gets busy. That manager had made up his mind prior to even coming to the counter to try to help me based on his body language. I was very disappointed in how rude this person was to me. There are other places to find these same products with longer return policies.

Don't like it!

My model is no longer available so got this one. The one I had is no longer available. Both are 0.9 cu ft but this one is smaller and uglier. It has a child lock that I cannot disable. I will be returning it as soon I find another microwave oven. They don't make them like they used to. This one costed more too. I prefer the look of the old model better.

Will it last?

Door latch is NOT ADA accessible

The left side is strong, but she is unable to even OPEN THE DOOR because of the latch on the door which needs to be engaged by pressing a button/trigger upward while pulling simultaneously. I read the Q&As and apparently, this "feature" cannot be disabled so we will have to return. Very disappointed.

Unusable

We set it up, only to find that the glass tray didn’t sit level. It wobbled and there was no way to set it up so that it didn’t. We had to return it.

One bad cookie.

At first, it will not stop staying on once. We got it to stop and we had to really play with it to stop. It wouldn't heat up so you either. Would it? Heat up or wouldn't turn off. But good thing we had Geek Squad protection, so they took it back right away.

Not happy with product

Then, it would start working agin for a few days and then again stop working, start beeping and then after a few minutes start working again. I am very disappointed in this product and would like a response as to what to do.

Insignia .9 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave

Countertop Microwave a few days ago and have been putting it through the paces. Though I've had one bad experience with the Insignia brand, I decided to give the brand another try when this microwave came along seeing as how I was in the market for a new microwave. What piqued my interest in the particular model was the size and the sleek looking design as well as the price. Unboxing was fairly simple. Inside along with the microwave comes 3 User Guides (English, French, and Spanish), the Turntable Ring, and Glass Tray. So using this microwave over the course of a week now has been very pleasant. In fact, its been more impressive than I initially thought it was going to be due to it being at a lower price point than what I paid for my older microwave and also more powerful. First off, I sits comfortably on my countertop with enough space between my cabinets and space around the microwave on all sides for ventilation. And being that its black and silver, it blends in well with my other kitchen appliances. Something that may take a few times to get used to is how you open the microwave, it's a bit different than most microwaves. Simply press the button upwards on the inside of the handle to pop the door open. Even after reading the sticker that comes on the front of the door of the microwave, I still caught myself at times pulling on the handle like most microwaves are designed. After a few days it became second nature. Now to get started with cooking/reheating, you can use the preset buttons (Popcorn, Potato, Pizza, Frozen Vegetable, Beverage, Dinner Plate) on the front control panel or simply by pressing the Time Cook button and using the numbered keys to put in how long you want to cook or reheat your food items. You can also use the Express Mode by pressing key 1 thru 6 (each indicating the number of minutes, i.e. 1 for 1 minute, 2 for 2 minutes, 3 for 3 minutes and so on, up to 6 minutes). And lastly you can also simply press the Start button several times to indicate how many seconds you want to heat up your food. This is done in increments of 30 seconds with each press of the Start button. Now in terms of cooking/reheating this week, I've thoroughly enjoyed using this microwave. Like I said earlier, Insignia actually impressed me this time around. My food came out hot the first time around, whereas with my old microwave, sometimes it takes 2 and 3 times of heating my food in order for it to reach the proper temperature to my liking. The only thing that I would say is a downside (definitely not a dealbreaker) is that even though I love the fact that this microwave is very sleek looking with the silver and black finish, perhaps Insignia needs to look at somehow illuminating or lighting up the keypad for easier reading in the dark. Though most people are not cooking/reheating in complete darkness. But I really love the sleek silver/black design combo. At an amazing price and sleek design, its hard not to recommend this microwave. It simply works and I'm glad I took a gamble with this brand again.

Stopped heating after 9 months
