My daughter loves it! Wish they had sold the car strap with it but found a universal one to fit.

Wonderful DVD player, easy to use, great picture and the price was just right!

This is a great low cost portable DVD player for the money. It is packaged well, with decent instructions, and all the expected cables are included (including a dual out head phone adapter - nice touch). The screen and sound are fair - it is a small package and there has to be some trade off. I wish the battery lasted a little longer. I could see the battery being an issue for some, but if you have a place to plug in or the trip will not last more than a few hours you should be ok.

Had to replace broken unit and this one was the right price and size for my son who likes to watch movies in the bed

I'm going to use this for my exercise videos in a room with no TV. We have used it to watch a couple of movies and so far so good. Good sound and picture.

Works great. My daughter brings it everywhere. Doesn't skip when moving in the car.

I use this to play my exxercise dvd’s and is convenient to have it at eye level.

While the picture is good, the sound is weak, you just cannot turn up the volume loud enough on some DVDs. Had to watch with earphones, which means no group-watching. But the worst part is the control buttons: you push "Play" and "Screen Setup" comes on the screen; you push "Stop" and the the film fast-forwards 1/3 of the way thru the film. Have to use the flat bottom of a pen to get the control buttons to obey, and you still get some other action happening, not the one you wanted. Irritating as heck.

Compact enough for my granddaughter to carry around the house and into the car

We homeschool our kids, and they use DVDs in their schooling, so we purchased the Insignia 9" Portable DVD player to replace another portable player that died on us. Our closest Best Buy is about 90 miles from here, but we picked up the DVD player while we were in Medford, OR taking care of some business. The DVD player worked fine for about two weeks, and then suddenly started getting glitchy. Very frequently it will only play about halfway through a chapter on a DVD, then it will suddenly jump to the next chapter, play halfway through that one and then jump again. I called Best Buy and they are willing to replace it, but since I bought it in store I would have to return it to the store. Well, in this weather that is a tall order. I wish now I had just ordered it online so I could ship it back to have it replaced. I'm not sure why Best Buy doesn't make some kind of provision for that in rural areas. I will not purchase this DVD player again, and I would not recommend it to a friend.

I bought my husband an Insignia DVD player 6 years ago and it still works! I have purchased 3 other name brands of DVD players for myself over the last 4 years and I have NOT been happy with the results. None of them have lasted. I finally wised up and went back to Best Buys for the Insignia!

Good unit works great. Does what it should do no issues

This dvd player is easy to operate, but the sound is not good. My 90 year old mother can operate, but couldn't hear it. A pair of ear buds solved that problem.Her last one had better sound.

When fully charged the light indicator turns red. Kind if weird. Screen is ok but the overall case is kind of old school bulky and heavy considering that it’s just a player. If prices accordingly it’s recommended
