Used this player for a long distance road trip. It worked great at first but then it stopped working. Best Buy was great at returning it.

Great buy for long trips with my two year old. The screen swivels to 180 degrees, which means you can buy a headrest car mount to mount to the front car seat. The battery is rechargeable great for those who like a cable-less environment in their car. The screen quality is beautiful and crisp. I bought the Philips 9" Portable DVD player I wasn't happy with it and returned it to purchase this one insead for all of the aforementioned reasons.

I was looking for a portable DVD player while away from home for several months with no tv and limited internet access. This product has worked great. The disk drive is a bit noisy at times, but good picture, sound, and easy to use.

This was my first portable DVD player, i bought a Sony at first it kept skipping and stopping it was just horrible and the remote didnt work.After I tapped it walking up my stairs it was over with. I saw insignia thought what the heck. And was pleasantly surprised. I have dropped this device like four times and no damage still plays great and doesnt even skip goes right back to were I left off. The swivel design is great and was also a surprise bonus because I thought I had broken it....its great for small children and those bumpy road trips. I give it a 5 and will be checking out more insignia products.

Maybe I received a lemon, but this DVD player never worked. I returned it for a Phillips player instead.

We have had this product for almost 2 months and it does not work.

I bought this DVD Player for my sister to replace her old one. It has a great picture, it's lightweight and provides hours of movie watching.

Product just what I wanted. It is the right size and weight for a child to handle.

The player is made out of plastic so it's doesn't have a solid feel to it, but nevertheless, it works perfectly.

Great little device for travel, it has great battery life and stops the fights in the car between the kids.

Went on a grueling 14 hour trip ( due to horrible Feb weather from Bufffalo to North Carolina. It worked great first time. A month later attempted to use it second time and head phone jack had crapped out- Not fun with a a 6 and 8 year old

Bought this to use with my TV as well as take on trips or use at work during breaks. Easy to use and the screen quality was a lot better than I thought for a DVD player this size. Look forward to watching movies again with this!

Very convenient and easily portable. Awesome for long trips especially for kids.

I have bought insignia before and like them. But I bought 2 a week apart. They skip sometimes when u push pause. My kids use them for school. And I bought them Bc I thought they would hold up better than the ones we bought from Walmart. But they didn't even last a few days.

I purchased a portable DVD because we travel often. Chose the Insignia because it was the cheapest and it was for a 5 year old. Unfortunately, we've had horrible experiences with this brand. The 1st never played. We were on the road and had to wait until our next major city to exchange it. Best Buy is wonderful. The attendant couldn't get it to play either and exchange it with another with no problems. We checked it before leaving and this time it worked great. We owned it for 2 months and it had been use about 5 different times before it started scratching our DVDs. A complete circular scratch ruining the DVD my son was playing. More frustrated, we finally made it back to Best Buy during a new trip, we don't live near one, and had to exchange it again. This time we went with a more expensive Sony. Was not trying an Insignia again. Best Buy traded out the DVD player and gave us a movie replacement. Don't recommend the DVD player, but LOVE Best Buy!
