Goal-to cancel cable service. Bought this antenna on 1-04-2024 at approximately 10:05 a.m. Had to test this product before and during the Winter storm Ember. This was because other antennas would cut out during clear sky , but windy conditions. This antenna preformed beyond our expectations during Winter storm Ember and Winter storm Finn. We never could get channels 12 and 23 very well on a good weather day. The instructions recommended that the antenna be placed in several test locations. I just placed it once to see if it would even work. We now get a beautiful picture that rivals cable. The antenna recognized channels that I did not know existed. Most of those unknown channels did not have a signal or were very weak signals. This being said, the antenna recognized 80 channels in all, but was not able to display a picture on the very weak signal channels. I have no knowledge if this channels are currently in operation or are just in place for future use. We are extremely satisfied with this antenna , would highly recommend it and will purchase more for other TVs. I have not counted the channels, but feel confident we are close to 60 channels. Now I need to move the antenna to other test sites and then mount it permanently. This product exceeded our expectations. Have cancelled our cable.

It’s good for its price point, but they should specify the dBm of these instead. I’m able pick up things up to about -55 dBm. I’m trying to get a station at -57 dBm with no luck. -80 dBm is the sound floor white noise. At -50 dBm that’s pretty amazing for flat mouse pad like antenna. I do have this connect to TV on the top floor of the house, so it’s elevation by 40ft off the ground. Long range can pull -55 to -70 Website verify your addresses reception @ {https://otadtv.com/tvtower/index.html } will show you the station in dBm. I also notice it works best for me in the center of the room. The closer to the walls the less receptive it becomes.

This is actually a very good antenna, which honestly is surprising to me. I went through 3 different antennas on Amazon ranging in price from $30-$160. In all cases I had to manually move the antenna around in order to pick up CBS, ABC, Fox, and NBC. Kind of a pain right? I decided to try this Insignia antenna and after finding the sweet spot on my front of house window, I always pick up the stations I want to watch without ever having to make adjustments. I'm a happy OTA TV watcher now.

I purchased this because I wanted to be able to watch local television. I thought it would be more compact and easy to connect to my television once I got rid of cable. It was very thin and narrow, but boy does it pack a good punch. I’m able to get a lot of local channels and very clearly. Well worth every penny.

This antenna solved all my apartment related reception problems for the broadcast tv channels. Easy to install and set up. Took only a few minutes to find a good location for maximum reception.

With the recent DIRECTV, dropping our local channel, I went online to Best Buy to look at a HD antenna. This had good reviews so I ordered one. It was so easy to set up and having it behind the TV out of sight was perfect. It picked up all, the channels I needed and wanted. This is an outstanding antenna.

Works perfect. I’m able to get the channels that I’m wanting. Easy to set up.

This was suggested by a friend. It was a relatively easy, quick set up. We now get more channels, specifically some of the ones we were hoping it would work for.

This antenna worked twice as good as an antenna I recently purchased elsewhere! I literally got twice the channels and a very clear picture!

Was worried it would not work on my new tv,but hooked it up scan for channels and it work,now i can get my regular channels in my living room as well as my bedroom,easy to hook up,i have no cable just apps and not all shows are on apps,like Jeporady,Judge Judy,news shows,well worth the money alot cheaper then cable

Works slightly better than the rabbit ears I was using. I do have to move it around some to get different channels to come in. Shades of hooking the antenna to a window screen and relocating it to get different channels. I just dated myself. Part of the problem may be my location on the ground floor of the building with apartments surrounding me.

I'm surprised by how well this small, flimsy antenna performs! Installed it 10' high on an interior 2nd-floor wall and am now getting all the local stations I want. I had been receiving only a few stations before with an expensive directional antenna on a table.

Was very easy to set up and it worked as advertised.

Positive: Comes with a stand. Base of the stand is metal, so you can use a magnet to hold to another metal surface. Black on one side, white on the other so you can choose a color to be visible. Typical signal strength pickup for a flat antenna. The power amplifier did help boost the signal. Worked fine when about forty miles from broadcast towers with no obstructions. Negative: Looks to be the exact same product as the Best Buy Essential which is $10 less. Probably has a UHF loop and a small VHF bar built in. When used 10 miles closer to the broadcast tower, it did not pick up a signal when there was a building in the way. Tested fine at my house, but I bought this for tailgating where it did not get the job done. Bottom line: Depends on your situation if it will work or not. Had it been in stock, I would have bought the Best Buy Essential model for $10 less to give it a try. I ended up returning it since it didn't work where I needed it to work.
