Hopeful in rural Washington

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As much as I wanted to give this glowing reviews, I simply can't gloat about its' superior reception. We live about 33-40 miles from a trio of mountain-top antennaes that repeat/broadcast TV signals that are 140 aways. If you have directly line-of-sight perhaps this will work great. Where I should have received at least 7 over-the-air channels, I received 2 and both were somewhat snowy receiption and faded in and out. The plug-in amplified version of this product is better than the non-amplified version, but neither worked well for us in a small town 140 miles from the source TV stations. So it was a 'returned item' for us. We wish we knew the secret to getting this supposed 60-mile antenna to work well, but for us it was sadly a bust. I'm giving it 3 star vs say 1 star because the build quality is great, the accessories to hang it in a window is well designed, the fact it can be mounted table-top is nice, and the cord length is idea (not super short like some competitors.)

I've tried several higher priced antennas and this one outperforms them all. I was very surprised for the money. I almost didn't buy it. I'm so glad I did. Should’ve bought a digital antenna a long time ago. You might not get all major broadcasts in the location you put it, so I experimented until I got what I needed.
