It’s complicated

The problem is that it makes the “pad/mouse” functions a PAIN. It covers the entire side pad, makes it difficult to properly take advantage of the perks of the remote. For example: it makes it almost impossible to fast forward content without making it extremely difficult and annoying.

Poorly Designed

Unfortunately the case gets in the way of the function of the remote when an application requires use of the edge of the remote. For example when using YouTube TV the remote is used for fast forwarding. The case gets in the way and you can't fast forward. I ended up cutting off the top half of the case.
