The Insignia charging cable gives you a little flexibility and it works just as well. I also have an extra one as a travel charger. Insignia makes very good products. Highly recommend it.

If you plan on using it in combination with some sort of charging stand there's a good likelihood it will not fit stands or holes meant for official apple chargers. Simply too big.
