Bluetooth Adapter not cut out to do what I wanted

My intent was to be able to use a bluetooth headset for listening to shows on Hulu. The one for the Acer laptop never worked at all as far as hearing anything on any of the several headsets I tried syncing. It would sync, show that it was connected, and then no sound from any of the headsets. The sound from the computer still played even though the headsets were connected. It did technically work on the Dell desktop, although it was very choppy, and you literally had to be no more than about 2 feet away from the computer. I will be returning both. If anybody has a better solution let me know.

The setup and connection was not too terrible, but I had some issues with drivers on my windows 10 computer. I had to download a new driver online or it would cause my PC to Blue screen any time I RE-connected a device. Once I was connected, the sound quality through my headphones was worse than the free ones you get on an airplane. I confirmed it was not the headphones by connecting to my phone. This would be fine for small file transfers, but not much else.
