I use this adapter to use my Bluetooth headphones with my PC and as soon as I walk away from my PC the connection drops. It will also randomly drop connection even when I'm sitting directly in front of my pc

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It was a crap shoot, I bought it to try and breathe a little life into an old Windows 7 desktop, knowing that it was not officially supported. However this radio is a Realtek 8761b IC, which absolutely has Win7 drivers floating around out there. They seem to almost work, but it's unable to pick up anything when pairing. I still think there is a way to get it working but wasted enough time on it. Online, there are plenty of other inexpensive BT 5 adapters for sale using this same chip and they all have driver support including Win7, so I'm not sure what they did to this one to make it the only one with an issue. Probably works fine in Win10 but I would have preferred something a little more ubiquitous and better supported. The convenience of buying locally is about the only thing this one has going for it. Lesson learned about Insignia products.
