Good for only 10BASE-T
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got a call for a customer having problems getting abysmal transfer speeds and experiencing file transfer errors etc. Upon troubleshooting I found what is perhaps the worst couplers produced. Actually I found they bought 8 of them off of which went promptly into the trash immediately resolving their issues! You can ignore the CAT 5 or CAT 5e Rating because they are NOT suitable for FastEthernet or GigabitEthernet... The product description is bogus.

I had a network cable that connected the router in the house to the computer in the bunkhouse; actually two cables joined by a coupler like you see here. But it didn't work all the time, so I went to Best Buy and bought a new cable and this new in line coupler. But just by replacing the coupler the system then worked fine so I returned the second cable.
