I had a network cable that connected the router in the house to the computer in the bunkhouse; actually two cables joined by a coupler like you see here. But it didn't work all the time, so I went to Best Buy and bought a new cable and this new in line coupler. But just by replacing the coupler the system then worked fine so I returned the second cable.

Great Ethernet Cable and Coupler
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a piece of equipment that I use in my psychotherapy practice that includes an Ethernet cable that must be plugged in vertically with the cable hanging down. (The other end is built into another piece of equipment so I cannot replace the cable.) Unfortunately, the little piece of plastic that held the cable in place in place broke off. Because of this, the cable would just fall out when I tried to plug it in. Each time I set up the equipment, I have had to use tape to secure it. What a pain! Then I got the coupler and a short Ethernet cable. Now I can plug the compromised cable into the coupler and secure it with electrical tape and leave it that way. Then, when I need to set up the equipment, I plug the new Ethernet cable into the coupler and then plug the other end vertically into the piece of equipment and it holds its place because it has the little plastic piece that holds it there. Now I can set up my equipment in a few minutes without worrying that the cable will fall out of its place during a treatment session. Very happy with the coupler and cable.
