I purchased a 50 foot cable thinking it would be more than long enough. It was not. So I purchased another cable and used this connector. There was no drop off in the signal to my desktop computer.

There was no loss in speed at all. Works well. Not sure for how long it will work but it is working fine now!

All other systems lack a LAN connection! Does the job great!

Problem solved

Thought of something like this, as the control cable ICOM supplied had the same number of terminals as Cat5/Cat6 cable. Where to find? Best Buy of course ! They had this in stock, it was very inexpensive, and worked great ! de KK8ZZ

This coupler allowed me to connect to 50 feet cables into one, and it has allowed me to get more life out of my computer!
