Instead of buying even more ethernet cords, purchasing this is ideal. If you already have plenty of ethernet cords, but they are not long enough, this will fit the bill!

I had to connect 2 short ethernet cables to cater to my work from home setup. I eventually bought the cables in the right length but it served its purpose.

Let me tell you, when I found myself short on RJ45 cable, I immediately ran to my local, handy, ever-present Best Buy store to purchase an RJ45 connector. I was not disappointed.
