    Our cable was not long enough and rather than purchasing a new one the size that was needed, we purchased a shorter one and with this coupler that's all we needed.

    Need to extend 2 cat5 cable for computers and security cameras that was located to a different location of the house instead of purchasing a new 200 foot cable.

    Needed to connect 2 RJ45 cables that ran to oposite sides of the house that were already terminated into a junction box. This little guy saved me having to re-run cables and dealing with connectors etc. A little pricey for what it is, but super convenient to have on the shelf locally when in a pinch!

    I find that connecting two Ethernet cables with this couple woked perfectly, I do not think I loss anything in thetrnsmission and it solved my distance problem,

    Bought one of these guys to serve as an extension. First one did not work at all. Second one works, but does not transfer the signal at full strength.

    This is essentially a ethernet cord extender. Use this when you need a bit more ethernet cable slack so you don't have to buy a super long cord.
