Other times, it is completely normal. Not much troubleshooting can be done with the exception of removing power. That didn't work either. Was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.

Forget using the radio - once I had the time & alarms set I wasn't risking messing them up to try to use the radio. I bought this for my husband (a cancer patient) to replace a clock/radio that was 20+ years old for him to use to remember to take his medicines.
