I bought this for an elderly neighbor who complained that she couldn't read the words or symbols on the black-on-black buttons on her old clock radio. This model has black print on white buttons, and the buttons are way easier to read and use. The display for time is larger than on her old clock radio. She is very happy. I was so impressed, I ordered one for myself.

The numbers on the clock are to dim even on the highest setting and the alarm is so quiet, can't turn the volume up on the alarm any louder than a 20.

The Alarm on this weather you use the radio feature or not is not loud at all. I just purchased this today and will be returning it tomorrow!

Too bright for an alarm clock - I want to be sleeping at night, not kept awake by the light coming from an alarm clock right next to my bed.

Purchased as an alarm clock/radio. Alarm clock settings very complicated and difficult to use. Power cord very short. I do not recommend.

It died within a month of purchase and the display did nothing but blink. I do Give best buy kudos for replacing it fast and efficiently.

Not loud enough to wake me up. Very light beeping sound. Would not recommend for anyone that's needs to be on time

Overall a good clock radio! Decent sound, decent reception, great display! Favorite thing I like is the display, big, easy to read and easy to dim. The only real problem with this item are the directions!!! The directions totally suck, big time suck, just plain suck!!!! Once you get the idea of what the directions are attempting to say, not what is written, then setting up the clock is doable, just not enjoyable!! :(

I was shopping for this item through various stores intending on one that would not cost too much as I only wanted the basics. The radio has good sound and the clock numbers are very easy to see. Did not need it for an alarm just needed some music and to know what time it was. The clock part lights up the vanity much like a night light so you don't need both. I think if you had it in your bedroom facing you it might be too bright the numbers are lit and very large. The only downside that I found was that you have about a 5 second window to set the time or you have to unplug and start again there is no way to change the time without first unplugging the unit to make the numbers blink.

A simple digital clock with large numbers that make it easy for me to read. The alarm gradually increases volume when it activates which I appreciate. A decent radio and an option for two separate alarms. I love it!

I bought this as a gift for my dad. He just wants a clock with alarm. The numbers are big and the alarm is good. Its actually not that bad.

OK, using Best Buy's website looked up this product. Rated FOUR stars. Nothing mentions blowing up, dying in several months, etc (unlike other clocks I had been reviewing the same day). I purchased this product. COMPLETE JUNK. Bad review said setting the clock was hard. Instructions were bad.. People need to RTFM. Programming instructions are FINE. Physical condition of product is COMPLETELY JUNK. Product feels flimsy to the touch. Buttons are VERY hard to use. You must press them HARD to get them to work. They feel like they are going to collapse into the case!. Separate antenna wire. NO Slit to run power cord away from the radio (read, radio sits on it). Sound coming from the radio sounds like garbage. (AUDIO, not reception). Reception seems good. People say radio is hard to program, I agree (PHYSICALLY, not instructional wise). This product is COMPLETE JUNK!. I haven't owned this radio 12 hours and I'm returning it in the morning. I'm disappointed with Best Buy on this one. I know Insignia is a cheap brand but even for Best Buy, this thing is COMPLETE JUNK.

What can I say, it's a quality alarm, that never fails, and is not expensive Not once has this alarm failed to wake me up, Digits are bright and easy to see If I were to say something negative, The time is a little too fast (in a month you'll notice your like a minute or two ahead of the actual time, easy fix though) And the radio connection needs to better
