There are only two brightness settings, and both are insanely bright, lighting up the room. You need to buy some Dim It light dimming sheets from EBay to make the display dimmer.

This is the THIRD radio similar to this one I have returned! I had a VERY simple and EASY to understand GE AM/FM Clock radio for 20 years and the FM antenna was going bad. Decided to get a new radio. What a surprise, NOTHING was simple, NOR easy to set up OR understand! Those of us who remember BLACK rotary dial telephones maybe can relate! The instruction manual was no help at all UNLESS you have eyes that were the strength of a MAGNIFYING glass! After an hour of INCREDIBLE frustration and getting more angry by the second, I boxed it up and returned it! Are there ANY AM/FM table radios out there that are EASY to set up and play, OUT OF THE BOX? Apparently not….and I have looked and looked! So for now I will put up with my EASY to use 20 year old GE < BIG SIGH >

Clock is low quality build. At the lowest level, the display will light up an entire room. Don't recommend this Clock/Radio at all

Battery case broke while first putting in batteries. Now held together with tape.

It has to sit up high in order to reduce static. When it's up high it works pretty good, if it's sitting on a low table there's nothing but static.

I purchased this clock radio just for the AM/FM. It seems that many box stores just don't carry little radios anymore... I picked this one up not expecting much for around $20. I was pleasantly surprised that this one worked for me as I live out in the middle of nowhere. It has good sound, is easy to setup, and out performs radios that cost double.

The quality of this clock radio reminds me of a carnival prize or dollar store purchase. Unbelievable that Best Buy would even carry this and charge $29.99. $4.99 would be more like it, yet still a stretch.. It is flimsy and has sharp edges. It is hard to set, especially for the senior citizen I bought it for. I am returning the one I purchased.

When we tried to set up the time, alarms, and presets for stations, we found it very difficult to do. The buttons are not user friendly at all. There were no minutes, or hours buttons. Nor Time and alarm buttons. You have to read the owners manual and take it one step at a time. I like simplicity. This is not simple, it is frustrating.

Another made in China piece of junk! Cord too short and difficult/confusing directions. It seems that radio-alarm clocks are considered old school. I guess having a job to get up for is as well! Pay a little more for something that doesn't make you cuss!

I am very surprised at how cheaply made this thing is. The buttons don't work half the time and it's very hard to set. I would never have expected such a cheap piece of junk from BestBuy, this is more like something I'd find for $4.99 at a dollar store. Taking it back and getting something that is better quality.

The radio sounds fine and plays fine. I am having a very hard time finding and keeping the various am and fm stations. The instruction booklet is not very good for me to get the various stations--it is confusing and hard for me to figure out what I am doing to get the various stations. I am having the same very hard time figuring out how to set the time. Again, the booklet is not very much help for me to set the time for am and pm It seems as though this is the most difficult radio to work with I have ever had. What can you do to help me? I would like to know to clear all this up. Thanks for any help-----how about another clock radio that is much easier to work/program. Thanks.

Great clock to replace our old outdated one from the 1990's.

Terrible sound. Looks like instead of a regular speaker, they installed a Twitter. The battery case cover doesn't close, after you open it to install the batteries.

it is a piece of junk. the sound on the radio is so bad I have to turn it off. It is so hard to get anything on it to work.

The clock/radio has very good features and a nice display. The preset feature is a pain that it does not have a back, you have to cycle thru all the presets. Then after 6 months the display fail, the time displays once in a while. I need to return it.

The radio alarm CAN NOT be set on a low volume! The lowest volume level is level 7 and that is way too loud for me and my wife! Insignia at first said it was a problem with that specific clock so I brought it back and had to buy another on line. The second one had the same problem so that is how they are made and no body at the company knows this. So now I have to return the second one. Horrible product, don't waste your money!

Cheap product, Dumb power cord, WORST SPEAKER EVER! I used it for less than 20 minutes re-boxed it! Insignia..... you can do better!! .... if not.... get a new day job!

I got this alarm clock radio because it seemed simple to operate, but it is anything but! I like to wake up to the AM news radio station, but no matter what I've tried, the alarm changes the station to 87.5 FM - nothing but static! I cannot figure out HOW to get the alarm to play the station I want! Surely there must be some way! The instruction manual is of no help. Will be returning this.

Buttons are small and difficult to use. Buttons have multiple functions which leads to confusion. Instructions for presetting stations unclear and don't appear to be in sync with the radio itself. Will use for the large display so can see from a decent distance and for listening to one AM and one FM news stations. Still in the market for another radio but will look for a different brand.
