Basic display port to HDMI

Both had Display port, DVI and VGA ports. My video card Has HDMI, Display Port, and 2 DVI ports. I wanted to use the Display Port on both monitors but it didn't matter which monitor I plugged into this adapter it would not work. Took the first one back and exchanged for another one and had the same problem. I ended up going with a DVI connection instead which I bought the cable from another store in town.
