Possible short circuit

The PC does not as lways 'find' the second monitor and does not always retain the settings for it. And sometimes, it 'loses' the 2nd monitor in the middle of a session. I haven't been able to isolate the issue yet, although it likely is either the new HDMI cable or this adapter.
