I bought this to hook a second monitor to my daughter’s laptop which only had 1-VGA and 1 Display Port (DP) ports. So I got this and used it with the HDMI cable that came with the monitor I bought and it worked great.

I'm using this with a laptop that's only equipped with DisplayPort. Works effectively for using it with HDMI devices. Insignia is a known brand in cables and adapters.

Perfect - adapts my HDMI to DP just like I bought it for. Only connecting between GPU and normal 1080p monitor, though - YMMV on 4K or higher (but then you probably knlw what you're doing).

Used to hook up an hp mini to HDTV HDMI so I can use JRiver Media Center streaming FLAC from NAS. hp mini HDMI is to a computer monitor, so dual screen setup. Been working great for several weeks now, and just installed Windows 10 free, and all is still good.

I had to quickly set up to display a presentation on an HDMI TV when I only had a DisplayPort output on my laptop. A quick trip to Best Buy and I had the adapter I needed. I used the adapter and an HDMI cable and it worked first time.

This will adapt your full-sized display port connector to an HDMI signal. Note - I don't believe this is DP 1.2 compliant, but that won't matter much if all you wanna do is get one connector type to another. It does the job well.

Works great for the Alienware Aurora R9 (only one HDMI port). I have two of these for the other HDMI only monitors, works for exactly what I need. It bit pricey compared to similar items at other stores.

I had purchased one of these before for a separate application and it did not work at all. We live 40 miles away from nearest BB. But having obtained an Oculus Rift, another adapter was needed and I bit the bullet and hoped it worked. It works. :) I'm happy.

This adapter worked perfect. I needed it to hookup Oculus Rift to my PC as my video card only had one HDMIconnector.

When you have a Dell computer with a display port and an HDMI, its the only way to get two monitors to work when each monitor has HDMI ports. This product is great and has been working for over 6 months with no issues.

If your laptop does not have a hdmi port and you need to project or present on a hdmi monitor... this is a no brainer. This is 100% reliable! It is small and simple to use! And you will be the envy of everyone who doesn't have/own one.

Was skeptical about using this to hook up a secondary Dell monitor. Plugged it inline with my HDMI cable to my video card - WHAMO! Screen showed extended desktop - Bob's Your Uncle!

this is a neat cable, well made and connects well. I was so happy to find it and pick it up at BB same day i got my monitor. i have a newer laptop that doesn't accept regular HDMI. This cable is a savior.

I bought a new pc. Graphics card had 1 hdmi port and 3 display ports. I wanted to run a second monitor so I bought this bad boy. Does exactly what it says it does... Switch a display port port to an HDMI port. Works great.

New PC has 2 display ports for multiple monitors. Using existing HDMI cables with this adapter saved us from getting expensive multi end cables. One to PC monitor and the other to TV for skype sessions. Worked as expected.

This works as a great replacement to the one I had which was a different brand name. My old one just had been wore out and the connection wouldn't hold anymore. This one is new with a tight secure connection.

Like everyone had to work from home but the monitors i brought home did not connect to the docking station. These worked great. Small enough don't have a lot a extra cables to deal with.

If you want to connect two monitors on a Dell computer the first monitor should go into an HDMI port and the second one to a display port but you need this connector for that and they will work great.
