Looked it up and the net says not all gear can use this type of gear. Threw in the draw, for it may be usable later as the article proclaimed. If I am wrong please forgive me. I can say Best Buy is a great source of gear. This incident does not stop my trust of them at all.

Avoid this!

My GPU has 1 HDMI and 3 Display Port connections. The Rift needed to be on the video card's HDMI port, that's why I picked up this item. I'd say that 90% of the time, my monitor would stay black. I tried different ports, but it didn't make a difference. I returned this 3 days later. Avoid this item!

SO, you get the pleasure of paying twice as much for the same product because it says INSIGNIA. YAY! This joy is of course diminished when you realize that only the dust bunnies that live behind your computer will see that you bought INSIGNIA! Enjoy your great day.
