Simple solution

So until they get that all sorted, we consumers are occasionally stuck with having mismatched accessories. My laptop only has DisplayPort for an external monitor connection, and I needed to connect it to a projector, which is HDMI only. This adaptor did exactly what I needed, with no driver installation or power supply required. However, it does feel a bit weak on the HDMI connection side, so I wouldn't recommend it for any high-vibration environment, or for any use in which it will be connected and disconnected multiple times per day.
