My vr system needed two HDMI ports. I had only one but i did have several disply ports. This adapter worked great.

I bought a gorgeous new curved monitor with a wireless charger base for my new iPhone and it would not connect to my existing Dell computer! I tried everything and looked everywhere until I found this adapter that allowed them to connect to each other and it works seamlessly! The displayport male connector end of this product plugged into my computer allowing me to use a regular HDMI cable to plug into the monitor on one end and the adapter on the other.

It works super easily just put iit into the display port and plug the hdmi in and you're good to go great buy!

I got a new laptop for work that has DisplayPort instead of HDMI and my setup for dual monitors uses HDMI. So this fit the bill. It seats fine, I have no issues with the connection coming loose, although it just sits on my desk. From the HDMI it goes into an HDMI switch that I use to toggle with my home desktop. That still works great. I've seen no issues with signal but I am using it purely for working and web browsing, not any kind of video. But I assume that the fidelity is retained.

Great product! Connect it to that weird "Display Port" connector that no one ever heard about before to your computer, add an HDMI cable with the full size plug on at least one end, and connect that to your monitor or TV and you'll have great video quality up to 4K and Audio. Before buying this, I had read articles about the "Display Port" video connector that came on the HP Elitedesk 800 G1 SFF. I was afraid that audio would not be relayed to the HD video/tv monitor via the HDMI input. That is not the case. This Insignia Display-Port to HDMI adapter includes both video and audio. The video quality is clear, and the audio is clear. Great thing about this product, as opposed to hard-wired other Display-Port to HDMI adapters, is you provide your own HDMI cord. This is helpful because you can replace the HDMI cable if it goes bad, it also makes it possible to use a HDMI cable that goes from the full-size head plug to a smaller HDMI type plug head on the back of your video monitor or tv. I plugged it in, turned on the HD Video TV Monitor and switched it to the HDMI setting on the remote control. The video immediately appeared as extended to my 21 inch computer monitor. As a video producer and editor, this was important, because I need to be able to see the actual colors on a TV/Video screen and hear the audio during editing.

Many laptops (my Dell being one) have a display port rather that an HDMI port. If I wanted to watch my presentation or movies I'd downloaded in the old hotel room, I had to at least convert to HDMI. This adapter plus a standard HDMI cable, did an excellent job in the hotels that allowed an external connection and gave me a backup in case the client didn't have exactly the right setup for that presentation...

When I got my Elgato hub for my MacBook Pro, I didn’t realize that it came with a display port instead of HDMI, so hooking it to my monitor wouldn’t work. Fortunately Best Buy has these great little adapters that connect the display port On the hub to my HDMI cable. Solved a problem easily for very little money. Appreciated the curbside service at Best Buy too.
