This works as it is supposed to - simple adapter cord

Comparable quality to other brands. I’ve noticed that with insignia on some devices you can get a pretty quality feel out of their product, fortunately this was one of them.

DisplayPort cables are not bi-directional. For example, I presume this adapter works fine when plugged into a DisplayPort output jack on a laptop or PC. However, there is one case where it is not supported - if this item is plugged into the DisplayPort input on a monitor - it won't work - not because the unit is defective, but because the DisplayPort system does not support conversion from that direction. (I was trying to connect an HDMI output jack to DisplayPort input on a monitor, and that is not supported.)

had a few of them in the past just fall apart. so if you're not planning to plug and unplug this guy a lot I think you'll be fine. my users are pretty active with external displays while they travel and these are inexpensive enough to accept the occassional one that disintegrates (the housings) after extreme-heavy-constant use.

This is a solid built accessory at a relatively low price. One thing to note is that it is NOT an active adapter which is required by some of the new thunderbolt powered docking stations. The box's labeling does not indicate whether it is active or not. I took a chance on it being active since it was in the same price range and slightly higher than some of the active adapter's I had seen. For the price point, I would recommend buying an active adapter even if you do not current require on, so you have it if you decide to upgrade your system. More so, because active adapters can be purchased for about the same price or less.

Bought this because my graphics card only has 1 HDMI out, and I wanted to have my HTC Vive connected w/ my HDMI display simultaneously. Works perfectly.

This DisplayPort to HDMI adapter is fantastic! Everything runs smoothly. I definitely recommend purchasing this if you are using an HDMI cable currently and your monitor prefers DisplayPort.

I purchased the USB 3.0 instead of USB 2.0 for future computer upgrades. It works decent with my HP 8440p USB 2.0 laptop (on-board graphics) with some size & resolution adjustments. I have the USB 3.1 (3.0) card in my Workstation but I have to get a longer HDMI cable. Yet to try it on other PC with USB-660A Firewire/USB 2.0 card.

It worked. Not like I was expecting greatness or anything, was just a cheap adapter for work use.

Was in a pinch and needed one of these that I normally special order for my installs. Bought this one and it worked better and was a better price point than what I had been ordering. I always look for these now and recommend them

I've had some bad luck with after-marked cables, but this converter has worked well. I use it everyday when I travel to customers. It gets used multiple times per day, tossed in my backpack, and it has never had an issue

My gtx 1070 reads dvi hdmi then display port . So when turning on my PC my 1440p monitor wouldn't display video until Windows logged in from my second 1080p monitor via hdmi . So I bought this and now have two display ports hooked into my gpu and Windows works properly and turns on monitor one first aka the 1440p monitor . Works great not cheap but rather give BB my business as they're one of the last brick and mortar electronic stores left .

I bought this to use as an extra video output. The adapter worked as described, but the hood on the display port end does not stay secure on the plug. Works fine but a little irritating and may be vulnerable to damage. But too much trouble to return it. Maybe check the quality on yours before you leave the parking lot.
