Not quite right.

Gravity keeps them on top of electrical leads, however a good, constant connection is elusive. Also requires an adapter to always be attached to controller. Not really intrusive but if you lose the adapter the unit is useless.

Even when I attempted to get the controllers on the stand they were highly unstable. I wouldn't recommend putting it on a table or a TV stand more than 3-ft off of the ground.
