He just needs to plug this in to his PS5 and put his controllers in when he isn't playing, than when he's ready to play again the controllers are charged.

Be warned that it only comes with a usb cord. So you’re expected to plug it into your PlayStation. I was also used to my controllers clicking into place, but this one just settles in and begins charging.
