I thought the charger would outlive the controllers. Ultimately, I’m replacing with the name brand option but this one is entirely fine if you want to save a few bucks.

Best charger for ps5 controller

The sony official sadly broke in less than a week (dont get me started on ps5 controller issues) but this is an awesome charger and Insignias were really good with the ps4 as well. So great product!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.At first I was questioning the quality of the charge station due to the price being only for $19.99 plus tax when I had purchased. But the aesthetic is actually simple, but looks decent. One thing I wish I would have known as a consumer before purchasing this product. Is that the charge port which is a USB-A is integrated to the charge station itself. It has 2 RGB lights. 1 being red for charge port 1. And the other RGB being blue for the charge port 2. It charges perfectly fine. And can easily be plugged into the back of the PS5 itself. I would reccomend it not just for the price being cheaper. But it works great, and the quality of the product itself is not sacraficed for the price being lower than other competitors. I rate it a 3/5 because you could probably buy another charge station that could be more aesthetically pleasing. But it gets the job done. Downside would be if the USB-A port seems to fail. You would most likely have to replace the whole unit itself because it is integrated to the charge station. But I mean it is not unreasonably expensive and gets the job done and as said before its simple aesthetically which I personally like.

I also tried charging two different controllers, and on all of them, the light flashed amber erratically and never charged either of them. On the PS5 USB port, I waited 24 hours to see if anything would change, and the amber light never stopped flashing, and the controllers never charged at all. I tried googling this issue and consulted the instructions, and there was no guidance for this issue. The charger arrived broken and never worked.

USB C only, basically worthless

The biggest problem (and the reason it's getting one star from me) is that it doesn't include a power brick. I'm sorry that I don't want to only charge my controllers when my PS5 is offline. If this wasn't a christmas present I would have returned it for a complete product. Step up your game bestbuy/insignia.
