I wondered why it was returned open box. Now I know. Fortunately, I planned on placing it next to a power strip with 3 USB power ports. I lucked out. I think the unit is great, as long as you have a USB port to plug it into.

If you have it with a controller facing you, you can't really tell what's going on with the one behind it. Surprised it was bus powered, haven't checked to see how long it takes to recharge two empty batteries. Good value!

Uses a thin red or green LED to indicate if its charged or not. The LEDs are not super visable but may be preferable to some. I prefer not to have a charger that lights up the entire room. Takes up very little real estate on the desk. A little worried about bending the charging pins if the controller placed to hard or accidentally dropped on the base. But, overall it has been perfect for my setup.

The only complaint I have is that I have difficulty getting the controller connected to the charging station, but that could be because I'm new to the system. My fiance has no trouble connecting the controllers.
