Waste of money. Been having trouble reading discs after first 2 mo. Now won't read any disc at all.

Got this as a gift for a family member. They were not satisfied with it.

Great for playing cd's but no video. Doesn't work and never did.

I got this DVD player to use for an Airbnb. It has held up great and it doesn't take up much space. It was a great price too! I would recommend this DVD player.

This is partly for a DVD player I had a few months ago that was the exact same model. It's only issue was the remote. Basically if you don't point it perfectly it wasn't going to register. Otherwise this is a perfectly acceptable DVD player. Caught it on sale this time for approx $20 so I'm willing to try again, especially as the previous one wasn't bad per say, just a little finicky. Picture quality is as expected from DVD's, basic a/v hookups so don't expect a brilliant picture. Still, for the price it's hard to beat.

Bought this for my mother-in-law to watch old movies on DVD. I figured I didn't need top quality, but I had no idea how deficient low cost/quality could be. The contrast was so extreme that half the screen was black, with interior scenes like only a nightlight was on. I didn't realize this unit has no HDMI jack so you're stuck with low-fi component video, which might be half of the problem. It's going back today. Great example of "if you buy cheap, you buy twice."

This is my 3rd Insignia DVD player in 2 years. While I have had great success with all other Insignia products, I have had NONE with their DVD player. Every single one has stopped playing DVD's after minimal usage. It's a shame - I wouldn't waste my money. Especially now that Insignia is the same (or close to) price as "name brand" players.

Just got it in the mail. I paid $14.99. You get what you pay for. I have a bunch of dvd's, some of which I've played on other machines. This one only played a few of them. Most of them it just got stuck after I hit Play. It goes back to Best Buy.

dead after 1 month of use by my client. It worked better out the box of the Sony that I got for them which never really worked great then finally died after 6 months.
