i borrow dvds from the library every week. my dvd player was going bad - when i saw this no frills dvd player - i was so happy to get it as a replacement. It's perfect. the remote has the basic functions but the the point seems out of whack -- you can't aim the remote at the dvd player to have it work - you have to point it lower than you think -- it's annoying but not enough to exchange it for another one

This DVD player was purchased at the same time as the 32" Insignia TV for my 7 year old grand-daughter. She has so many DVD's to keep her occupied. The DVD player works very well and easy enough for a 7 year old to operate. We're glad we made this purchase, it turned out to be a life saver in more ways than one. Remember, she's 7!

Bought this for our mother in law to use in a spare bedroom, and she didn't want it, so when one of our bedroom units that has speakers and VCR/DVD built in components failed as a DVD player - we were able to hook this up quickly and it has been working great. Thus, we can leverage the speaker system and VCR still as needed on old formats without getting rid of the entire system.

I purchased this product for one specific feature: the RCA input jacks for audio/video. When making the purchase, this was the only DVD player that I could find with this feature, and it was also VERY reasonably priced. I can report that it has worked well thus far; I am very satisfied with this purchase. Thanks to Best Buy for offering a product that meets my needs-- and at a low price!

The Insignia DVD Player - Black provided no problems in attaching to an Insignia 40 Inch TV and has worked perfectly for us.

I got this for my dad and it's great. He's not too tech savvy, so it's simple enough that he can use it without issue. The only problem I had was hooking it up to the TV the first time because the color cables have changed over the years and didn't match exactly, and took some playing around with them to get the right configuration.

I needed a cheap DVD player for redbox movies when I was staying st the hotel. ( hotel had a tv no but DVD player). It was cheap but it works perfectly! No HD but again I only paid like $25. I was just going to leave it in the room but because t was small and very lightweight I decided to just throw in my laptop bag and now I plan to keep in the JUST IN CASE bag! Very happy with the purchase!
