good if you've got an older monitor and a newer computer, or vice versa, and only have a vga cable. seemed to be of good construction - sometimes adapters can seem real cheap, but this one felt good and worked just fine.

The part was an easy fit and worked as it was intended. The packaging was good and easy to open. It was priced higher than I expected but when I got it and it worked that somewhat calmed the storm of the higher price.

Honestly, I hate DVI... but when you are trying to setup as many monitors/TVs as possible on a multi-computer setup, you do what you have to do.

DVI = DVI? No. DVI-i = has pins over the horizontal little piece in the plug BUT if the device you need it for is a new monitor that is rocking a DVI-d then those little pins will be frustrating. DVI-d has no pins over the horizontal piece in the plug's end. From my experience, all current/standard VGA's have identical layouts as far as plugs. 3 stars because of my innocence wasn't able to use it yet (gonna try a DVI-i to DVI-d plug for it) but it seems to be a high quality product. In my recommending to my friend, I would make sure they realized DVI is not just DVI and how to recognize what plug they'll need.

Make sure you have the right kind of DVI type. There are many different types, not all are the same.

I just upgraded my computer to a high end gaming pc. And the new GPU (graphics processing unit) which didn't have the normal VGA plug. It only had HD output connection. This adapter was just what I needed.

I was able to easily see the product well enough without damaging the packaging to determine I purchased the wrong adaptor. The product was quickly exchanged since there was no question that it was still intact.

it worked perfectly when i got it, still have it but no need for it now since upgraded monitors (HDMI setup now) but good buy nonetheless

This was not the adapter that I needed. I didn't check carefully enough to determine the DVI configuration that I needed. I'm sure it is a good product, but not what I needed.

Good product purchase during a time when another option was required by my household to establish a quality business and computer workstation.

I needed an adaptor for my existing monitor on new computer because they no longer provide both styles of connections on newer graphic cards. This worked perfectly and has continued to do so

Worked great for son's older computer but it adds extra weight at the connection that can strip screws if not careful. Don't see any way to get around that though. Smallest design for needed parts.
