However, to my surprise, the docking station came with an adaption just like this... so while this would have worked, it wasn't needed. So, if you're buying a docking station, check it out before buying the adapter.

One redeeming quality is that it's depth is less than most others. A nice quality when you need to push a device close to the wall. I recommend the StarTech branded DVI adapters over this one. They are cheaper and better made.

Luckily I did have an extra regular cord laying around so thanks to this lil beauty I was able to hook up my computer to my TV like before and now I can use my computer how I am accustomed to.

I could gently shift or adjust the adapter and restore the proper colors, but moving the PC back into position often knocked the alignment off-kilter again.

So I purchased this adapter to find out that not all DVI are created equal! Do your homework to make sure this fits your needs. Rather than try to make an adapter work I bought a new monitor.
