For me, no pairing was required. Simply just unboxed it, put batteries in, and it worked immediately. For anyone that needs an immediate solution for operating their tv I would recommend the “Fire TV” app by Amazon. As long as your tv and phone are connected to the same WiFi network it was a great temporary solution.

This remote functioned well while the others didn't function at all.

My old remote looks the same but a few features were different. Works just like the original remote that came with the TV. For some reason the original remote started having problems where it would not work or the volume got stuck on high.

Is that there where different textures for each button in order to help tell which button is which for (the power, volume up, and volume down button). In order help those who have difficulty seeing or have bad eyesight to help, them to tell the difference. Between each button or least at minimum the buttons, I’ve mentioned earlier.

We misplaced the remote that came with the TV, but were pleased that Best Buy had one on hand. It works perfectly. And the staff member who helped us find the remote was very quick, helpful, and polite. We were in and out of the store in minutes!

Helpful Hint #2: When you do, rush down to your Best Buy store and purchase a replacement. Load the batteries, point at the TV and you're back in business. Helpful Hint #3: When your original remote dries out and miraculously starts working again, do not give it to your wife unless you enjoy clicker wars.
