I could not get the new remote programmed and either could Support when I called them back. So I returned the remote. The Best Buy employee told me that the new remote does not work because the FireTv factory changes the settings on the tvs about every 2-3 years. So since my tv was about 4-5 years, the remote would not program. Not sure how accurate that information was but regardless I could not program the new remote and neither could Support.

It's easy to use but I wish it was a little more sturdy.

IMO its a little cheap feeling and it "pops" apart occasionally. Works as it should, the buttons became stiff over time. We don't even have 3/4 of the preset streaming services on the remote-wish we could change them

But, it's what we currently have so have to have this remote and it serves it's purpose.

Wish it came with a manual. I'm sure it's all user error, but I was having issues figuring out how to do simple functions, and I'm the "tech savy" person in the house.
