Good tablet, I bought this for my 9 years old is great for a beginner

Pros: - Good resolution for watching videos - Sound quality is good and plenty loud (unlike a lot of other cheap tablets) - Runs quickly and smoothly - Storage (16 GB) is decent for a tablet in this price range Cons: - Charging port breaks very easily. The USB plug doesn't connect tightly, and it goes in backwards from what you would expect. Mine broke within three months even though we were not rough with it, but fortunately Best Buy replaced the tablet. This issue is the only thing that keeps the tablet from being 5 stars for me. - Battery life isn't great, but honestly it's what we expected. It lasts 3-5 hours, depending on screen brightness and what apps are running. - Slow to start (takes a minute or so) - Camera is very low resolution, so don't buy if you want to use Skype or take decent pictures or videos. By the way, get Smart Launcher as it is a way better interface than the default Launcher.

The tablet in general is great. I bought 5 for my children and they seem to work great. Didn't have a problem with any of them . I understand what everyone was saying about the charger port. That's my only concern. I purchased online and had to wait 2 weeks for shipping because they never gave fed ex my order. But not a big deal I got them all before Christmas.

This tablet is a good value. Nicer screen than some of the budget tablets. I have been impressed with the quality for the price, very responsive and has everything I was looking for. I have had this tablet for over a month now, no issues.

This is a good little tablet. I don't require it to do a great deal but it seems to handle what I need.

Gave the tablet as a birthday gift and she loves it she can take picture and do her games with ease.

Got this as a Mother's Day gift for my mom and it's great for her needs. She previously had a cheap Black Friday special from Walmart so her standards were pretty low though. For an older person it's very simple to figure out and use. Would recommend for someone older or kids.

I bought this for my daughter to use at school and it has been troublesome. The charger that came with it doesn't fit snugly in the port. It is loose and falls out. I went and bought several charging cables for it and experienced the same problem, until I found a charger cable that had a longer plug (the silver part that goes into the tablet) and it fit. It also doesn't hold a charge very well. It caused so many issues that the school sent it home and informed me that I either needed to send something else that works better or pay a monthly fee to rent a device. I wouldn't even recommend this to my worst enemy it's that bad.

The tablets fits very comfortably in the palm of my hand. It's not bulky like the last one I had.

In no way is it the latest tablet and doesn't have alot speed, also there's this wifi issue where it doesn't use the full wifi speed and sometimes cuts the signal off and on. However for the price I paid I got a basic tablet with 16gb of storage and that's enough for simple browsing and Netflix (seems to not like hulu though, hulu just won't play video on this tablet for some reason). If you don't mind some hiccups and just want something basic this tablet is fine, otherwise I would save up for a better one.

Its a good tablet. I just got it for my nephew to play around with. Good price for an ok tablet.

I was looking for a tablet to replace my 7 inch one. Current budget restrictions limited how much I could afford - but I knew what features I wanted. The Insignia 8 inch fit the bill, and exceeded my expectations. Great picture and touch response. I couldn't be more satisfied.

it is a nice product for beginners or elementary school kids, it has all the basics. The cost/benefits relation is good. The only problem I have is that the battery won't last much

The tablet works well. The image is clear. Simple to use. My only complaint is the battery does not last as long as it did when I first purchased it. The more times I charge it, the shorter the charge lasts.

I reviewed the comments before buying my insignia flex8 16gb white/silver tablet and then spoke to a very knowledgeable young man in that dept and went in with two tablets in mind and ended up buying 1 of each the flex for myself and a kindle fire7 49.99 for my woman. My flex8 was on sale for 79.99 and I bought the case made specifically for it and am quite pleased to this point I'm about a month in so far no issues. A couple of feedbacks I read was about lack of volume which is the case for mine as well but not a huge issue I bought a great external Bluetooth speaker for 15.00 sounds great. Tablet works well for all my needs I would recommend.

Very simple tablet but does a good job for the price Screen quality better than expected.
