I found after a few months I was no longer able to get this tablet to turn on. It gave a funky screen and then just refused to work anymore. My husband gave me his Samsun Tab E and that is the one I enjoy more.

It gets stuck in between for a second while watching videos.
Battery very poor. It drains completely within a day even if we don't use the tablet at all.
I think I made a wrong choice.

High resolution but unable to watch YouTube :-(

I was totally excited to find a tablet with such a high resolution screen at a nice price. Its the perfect size for reading, surfing the web, all that good stuff. However, I'm not able to watch YouTube videos. The video does not sync correctly with the sound or vice versa. I tried about 20 videos and every single time the sound did not sync. it was totally frustrating I was hoping I could use this tablet on vacation while lounging at the beach at the pool but I find myself turning it off a lot just to preserve the battery.
Note to Best Buy- YouTube is the number 2 ranked search result in Google. How did you release this without testing it? Is there going to be a fix for YouTube? Another reviewer was having issues with Netflix will that be fixed?
*If these two issues were fixed this would be 5 stars for sure.
I just want to add that the BestBuy Sales Rep was totally nice and assisted me right away as they always do.

I bought this to replace my Hisense Sero 7 Pro which I really liked but 2 failed at the micro USB port. Prior reviews on this (only 63 when I decided) were only fair but I decided to try one
This unit has a very good hi res screen and is fast on games and other apps. I regressed to an older Gmail app and was able to add my important e-mails to the app. It is easy to use and has Google's Lollipop (5.0.2).
It does read data from a 64 Gb micro SD card put on the card via direct writing to it or the card via my pc. However, I haven't yet been able to write to the card via a File Manager (ES File Explorer) or Apps.
Maybe if it gets a bit more of a following, it will have a 'root' method developed which will enhance use (eg, move or link apps and data to the card which can't be done now).
The battery life is about 6 hours but can be stretched a bit with good practices like turning off GPS when not needed and turning screen brightness of the screen down to a minimum setting (still fine insde the house). I have a spare external battery with 5000 mAH for long outside jaunts.
All in all not too shabby for $80 ($100-$20 with opening a BB card).

Best buy needs a better return policy. I spent 100 dollars on this tablet in February. In march the screen started cracking and it stopped working. I went to exchange it and was told I couldn't because I had not purchased insurance.. Will never buy small electronics from them again.

Newest Android updates fix most earlier issues

I bought one of ths Flex Elite 7.85 in late July 2015 and returned it the next day because Netflix, Xfinity TV GO, and a couple other streaming video apps wouldn't work. In late Nov. 2015 I bought an open - box one in the expectation that Insignia had release an update to the Android 5.0 in the tablet that fixed the probles with streaming video apps and was happy to see that a new update was available and the streaming video problems were fixed. Also battery life seemed better then earlier although still a bit limiting at 4 or 5 hours. We now have 3 of the Flex Elite 7.85 tablets all with microSD cards for storing video, music and book files and being enjoyed by members of the family. We have added a couple medium capacity power vaults for extra runtime away from AC power. The Insignia Flex Elite have evolved into very cost effective devices for Surfing the web, email, and entertainment.

Great display, horrible battery life

This tablet has an amazing resolution and is pretty quick but the battery is terrible. The longest I got was 5 1/2 hours and that was with the brightness almost all the way down and some apps to extend the battery life by decreasing performance as well as the battery saver option being turned on. So if you're willing to do all this you get about 5 1/2 hours battery life tops. But if you don't and have the brightness all the way up you're looking at getting 3 hours tops. The other reviewer who wrote about the horrible battery life wasn't lying. If you want a decent tablet with good resolution, good speed, and great battery life I recommended the amazon kindle fire hdx. It may be $30 more but is so worth it and runs a masked version of android 4.2.2 and so far I can download all the same games I can on my phone.
