Customers are saying
Customers find value in the Full HD Dash Cam's outstanding video quality and ease of use, frequently praising its sharp resolution and convenient setup. However, some users express concerns regarding the lack of an internal battery and the need to purchase an SD card separately. Additionally, the mount's reliability, particularly the suction cup, is a point of contention among some customers.

Very Weak mounting and very poor dark video
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The mounting fell off several times on my way home from the shop where I bought it. it doesn't hold in place. video quality is very poor and very dark. The lighting and exposure is not satisfactory. This camera has very poor night time video. I doubt it has any infrared. Am disappointed by all that especially mounting that keep falling off and it's too shaky.

Won't maintain current date and time setting.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this dash cam for road trips but it will not maintain the current date and time. If the car is not used for a few days such as parked at the airport or parked in the garage, when the car is started the dash cam reverts back to 2017/01/01, 12:00 You have to remove the dash cam and manually reset it to the correct time and date. The reset button does not fix the problem. Unfortunately, I cannot find the receipt and Insignia will not honor the warrenty without it.

time gets reset and recordings are lost
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For some reason the time setting on the dash cam keeps getting reset to 2017/01/01. Maybe it's because I left it unpowered for too long. I don't know why exactly it happens, nor how to prevent it. The most stupid thing is, when the storage card is full, the dash cam will remove the clip with the oldest timestamp, which, if the time is reset, will be the clip that has just been recorded, because everything else is in 2019.
