After speaking with an associate I purchased this along with and lightning to HDMI adapter. Both items worked, but not together as the Best Buy associate indicated. The device works fine for a computer but not the iPad, so it was a wasted purchase for me.

The cord, for me, is a little short, which requires you to be on top of the port you are connecting to. The other issue, for me, with this cord, is that it lacks a screw-in connection that I have had with previous HDMI to VGA connectors. This means that the cable is not wholly secure in its connection, and that it could slip out.
