Fortunately, my hosts had an adapter that worked. I exchanged it for the higher priced j5Create which also has a sound port and USB power port. Much better. Lesson: When it comes to adapters, don't pinch pennies.

I was embarrassed as soon as I connected the item to my laptop. The screen started blinking on and off and I was unable to use the projector and was forced to move to another classroom. DO NOT buy this item!!!
