Bought this cord because my laptop didn't have a port to plug in our external monitor. This solved my problems and allowed me to work between two screens at once. It plugs in simply to the USB port.

vga output of computer quit. Since computer also has hdmi port we were able with the help of Best Buy to find an hdmi to vga convertor cable. Work great!

Having lag time issues with dual monitor set up using a USB to VGA connector. The HDMI adaptor resolve those issues and improved response time.
