Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The adapter did transfer the signal from my hdmi laptop output to a vga monitor fine but when I used it to send a signal to a older projector I had, everything looked pinkish (color for dvd player was fine). I haven't figured this out yet but I think it's fine for newer equipment (of course what newer equipment uses vga). I did have to trim out a little of the plastice opening for one of my vga connections to fit in.
