With this adapter we're able to connect it to the customer laptop and use our VGA monitors to troubleshoot. Has saved us many times and I would definitely recommend. To be clear, this does not work the other way around. If you want to use this to output VGA signal to an HDMI LCD or TV, you will have to go a different route. This is specifically to output HDMI signal to a VGA monitor or TV.

Did mostly what it stated
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a new video card and wanted to connect it to my old KVM switch (VGA only). It did connect, but only at 1024x768 maximum. I'm not sure where it's having an issue-this adapter, the KVM, or the (unlikely) the monitor. In the interim I did buy an HDMI KVM 2-port switch and will see how that goes instead (and they aren't cheap). I needed a newer KVM anyway, but this would likely be great for projectors as most do not go above 1024x768 that I've seen.
