I had wanted this for my kitchen TV so I could watch the local news (no cable or dish hookup), but that didn't work - it really needs a clear signal from the tower.

Strong signal required for this antenna

Connected to my brother's TV located in Glenside PA a few miles outside of Philadelphia, cannot receive Channel 6 which is a major Philly station. I live 40 miles farther away from the city and receive the same station flawlessly with my antenna of another brand. Tried moving the antenna around to different heights and positions without success.
