I tried several more expensive antenna, but found this one to be just as effective, albeit I have to turn it to get some stations, but it does pull in all the stations the more expensive ones did. I live fairly close to NYC, so I can't vouch for how it would do at greater distances. Didn't give it a higher rating because it looks and feels cheap. You get what you pay for.

Even then, the channel goes in and out. About 3 years ago, I purchased a similar antenna (different brand)for the same price which was made with thicker and longer metal legs. It works at least twice as well as this one. I tried to pick up up an antenna of the other brand only to find that that company makes theirs just like this one now. Disappointing.

Just what i needed

Close to the window with some channels, away from the window for others, even on the floor for others.

Better than nothing

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am at a distance of 20-40 miles to broadcast towers in a relatively flat terrain. This antennae is pretty small, which the picture here doesn't justify, and very cheaply made. On top of that, the thin connection cable is short as well, almost useless for any type of mounting. I would not bother using this antennae unless it was provided and shipped free to my door. And, it doesn't get almost any signal anyway - I got miraculously a local NBC on VHF, but none of the UHF channels, even ones that the TV may show with a paperclip in the antennae slot.
