Sales Associate gave me this antenna -told me this is what I needed. I told them the outside digital antenna was through the cable wire. The small antenna I bought was not what I needed to convert the signal.

Not for receiver reception

This antenna was not an improvement, in fact the original wire antenna provided slightly better reception. Have no idea how this antenna would be for a TV.

I am not located far from the city at all.
