Very good antenna for a little money

After going from one provider to cable my wife wasn't happy about losing two of her favorite channels. I did some research and found I could get them OTA. I didn't want to buy an expensive antenna on top of everything else. This one did the trick. If you have a "smart tv" be sure to let the tv aquire the available channels before you try to watch. I'm impressed with the picture clarity with this little antenna. I'm thinking about buying a few more for the other TV's in the house.

OK for price, could be better

It's hard to complain too much about a $5 antenna but this product should be better even for its low price. First, the circular loop UHF antenna comes loose easily and does not maintain its position when moved around. Second, the rabbit ears are too short. Third, the base is too small, allowing the antenna to tip over easily. On the positive, the cord connecting the antenna to the TV is surprisingly long, giving you more freedom to position the antenna.

    Great Picture, Unbeatable Price

I was skeptical such a cheap antenna could really work at all given how much more the others were but after reading some of the reviews on here I decided to take a chance on it. I live in the suburbs of a small-medium sized city and not only do I get all the broadcast networks crystal clear, but also a bunch of other random ones I've never heard of. Between this and a streaming service I may never go back to cable.

All insignia antennas are very poor quality. I live in a decent size city (Charlotte) very strong towers. I did my research and concluded that this antenna and the insignia that is the next level up should suffice. At best I can get one of the major networks coming through nicely but NEVER more than one major network. i am close to the towers and this fails to give me anything but a blurry and pixelated screen

    NOT FOR APARTMENTS!

I bought two of these antennas. The one in the living room connected to a 60 inch Sony smart tv works like a charm. It picked up 107 local channels. I tried connecting it in the bedroom a 55 inch Emerson brand tv and the antenna was able to find only 3 channels. I live on the third floor. Im not sure if the tv brand would have made a difference or not.

In need of receiving free broadcasting TV stations for my new HDTV, walk into BestBuy store and find one. Take it home, plug into my TV reception source. Perform first scanning for all the TV stations. Now I get more TV stations than I expect and work like a champ!

    Hardly Picks Up Any Channels!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought this on March 27, 2016 to try to replace my Bright House Cable "Basic Cable" connection, but this antenna only picks up about 18-20 total channels. I live in Livonia MI, and I placed this antenna right next to a window facing east towards Detroit, and have it connected to my 1080p HDTV coax connection). Out of the 18-20 channels it could receive, 10-12 actually "work" and are viewable (the rest were just black or static). Out of that 10, only about 6-7 of them were true 1080i HD level quality (Example: Ch.4, 7, 56. etc.). It didn't pick up channel 20 at all (which is channel 6 on the Bright House Cable Box), so you ain't gonna get no Jerry Springer Show or Maury with this antenna. LOL!. I'll be returning this gadget soon.

    Absolute junk, antennas snapped off

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is absolute junk. Screwed the two telescoping antennas in, and then tried to place the loop antenna, the fight was so tight it really wouldn't insert all the way. Fine, it should still work, went to spread the two telescoping antennas and they both snapped right off! The screws holding the antenna to the part that screwed into the base are so tight the cheap metal just broke instead of pivoting. I've never seen such garbage, I'm disappointed Best Buy even sells something so poorly made. I imagine they won't take it back because it broke, but I'll try, and look for a different antenna.

    Make Your Own Antenna

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

A chain linked out of a hand full of paperclips worked better than this antenna and I played with the antenna for more than a half hour. I did hang the paperclips out of a window and the antenna was not outside. It was, however, in the same window the paperclip chain was hanging out of. Even with 1* I did keep it because I can tune in the one channel I watch in my work shop and it was not easy to get to that TV. I originally did it to test the antenna on another TV just to be sure it was as poor of an antenna as I thought it was.

Easy to set up by just pushing the round antenna in and screwing the long antennas into slot. For $12.99 this antenna got great picture on the 19" insignia $69.99 TV. I have a large TV with a $60.00 aerial and some of the channels do not come in good. This antenna works great with picture perfect for all 9 channels in our area. No problems with hookup or setting up the TV when you first turn it on.
