Bought this to use with my Series S that mostly gets used as a media device. Upon first putting batteries in it, I was surprised that pressing it's Home button immediately made my Xbox respond and power on. There was no pairing or anything, it just immediately works. the buttons are nice and clicky, and while a bit cheap feeling, it does exactly what it needs to do. I do kinda wish Insignia could have gotten the licensing to use the Xbox logo home button, as it looks a little goofy without it, but the price is cheap enough where that's a tiny gripe. If you just need a simple and functional remote to use on your xbox instead of burning controller battery or (if you're clumsy like me) dropping the controller constantly on it's triggers and fast-fowarding, this is perfect.

I have used a variety of Xbox remote controls over the years, and this one is my favorite. Button presses feel firm and smooth, unlike other remotes that have spongy buttons. It is small and lightweight so it should feel comfortable in any adult hand. Batteries last quite awhile. It lacks lights on the buttons, which makes it a little tough to use in a dark room. It feels sort of cheap, but for the cost the quality is good enough.

Great media remote for Xbox Series X. It does not work the volume but that is not the remotes fault. The Series X lacks an IR blaster. The HDMI-CEC (at least on my older TV) does not support volume control. The remote does not have the heft of my other media center remotes but it's fine. It works perfectly for controlling all of the media apps on the XBox. Be sure to go thru the XBox settings and configure it.

Works great. Very convenient. Awesome functionality. Exactly what I was looking for. No longer have to turn on and use Xbox gaming controller every time I need to change channel or apps. Only downside, is that you have to point it directly at the console for it to work. Other than that, great purchase. Do not regret.

Love this controller! Controls both our Samsung TV (volume, power) and our Xbox. Real simple. Use it to login to Xbox accounts and navigate menus/ launch and control apps. It might do more, but just really excited because it is so much more convenient than using the game controller, which wasn’t designed for watching shows and TVs… so one controller for us who watch shows on the Xbox. Recommend? Heck yeah!

Handy little remote for my Xbox series x. It's an IR based remote so no setup was needed. It responds well, and is a great alternative to using the controller for shows and movies, especially if you're using the Xbox for your streaming needs. It's definitely worth the $15 - $20.

Good remote for the price if you’re watching Blu-ray movies. Only gripe is you have to point directly at your Xbox series x but that’s all.

Great remote when you use the Xbox as a media machine. Our last one wore out and this one was a great price. No issues in functionality so far. Only negative is that our last remote had light up buttons which were easier to see in the dark. Otherwise we are happy with it!

Works right out the box no issues whatsoever. Hvnt even gone thru one set of batteries yet n use it every day. Very easy ti use n works flawlessly with series x. Great must have remote specially if u use series x not only as a gaming rig but a entertainment device

Super simple to set up with my Xbox One! It controls the volume on my TV, no issues there. Only wish it had a backlight to better see at night, I’m not gonna dock it any points for that. Well worth the purchase all in all!

Works well with the Xbox series x. Easy to go in and out of apps and to turn the console on and off. Exactly what I was looking for. It’s Best Buy brand so the quality isn’t all that great but for the price, can’t beat it.

I love it. Works well with my xbox, tv, and my soundbar. I didn't even have to an install. Just opened the package and it was already working due to my xbox. I'm glad I made the upgrade from the last model to get this

My TV HDMI-CEC doesn't play well for some reason with the Xbox One and the Series X, so I really wanted an alternative, and this one does great. Make watching YouTube and the other streaming services super convenient, which is great as Apps runs super slowly on my TV. Remote is nice to the touch and responsive. Buttons a little but on the mushier side, but good enough to not be bothersome. IR range is a bit limited, so you really need to point it to the console. Not the end of the world, but something to take into account. I can't control TV volume, but that's no fault of this remote, but the TV itself. I'll eventually pick up a Logitech universal to control the Xbox, tv and the speaker set, but for now this works great and it is pretty inexpensive.

This remote is nice alternative to the xbox controller. You have to point the remote directly at the xbox for it to work. I did find that if you're at an awkward angle you can point it directly up at the ceiling it works also.

Great remote. Easy to use. Second time I've bought this product, since pet chewed other. Probably use it more than a regular controller. Works by itself, no parts to plug in.

This is a decent remote and is nice to have when watching Blu-Rays on my Series X. The quality and feel is pretty good, however I have some issues with the responsiveness (or lack thereof). The remote only works when pointed directly at the console and seems to have a pretty limited range, so not recommended for a large room. It's a decent remote but depending on where you Xbox is placed it may not work well for you. It is cheap at least, but I guess you get what you pay for. There are probably better options out there.

Great little remote for the series x. Right after opening if out of the box it worked. No set up was required. Comes with batteries.

This remote works seemlessly with my xbox, it is perfect for streaming shows without having to fire up the remote controller.
