Customers value the Media Remote for its ease of use, affordability, and functionality. They appreciate the convenience of controlling their Xbox without the need for a controller, especially for streaming shows. However, some users have expressed concerns about the remote's line-of-sight requirement and the need for direct pointing, as well as its build quality and use of infrared technology.

Simple remote. Does exactly what you need it to do for movie/video play. Home Screen navigation is easy but cannot use in game. 1 programmable button.

does what you need it to....mostly. It would be nice to have dedicated, properly labeled buttons on the media remote for A, B, X and Y for some console functions.

I use my xbox for tv as well, and this thing is great for not having to use the controller all the time. Setup was a little interesting, but I got it and it was worth it.

Bought it for the Xbox series X and takes about 3-4 clicks of the buttons to complete task. I enjoy it so I don’t always have to turn on the controller. Just wish it was more responsive

This remote is good for the price. I like that it doesn't have too many buttons. Depending on the arrangement of the console, I had issues with the signal, having to aim it just right.

This remote feels flimsy as if you press to hard you'll snap it in half and it takes several pushes sometimes to get things to work right but it does the job.

You have to point directly at the console and it’s not like Apple TV Remote or PlayStation where you can point anywhere. So it is line of sight.

It’s functional but annoying. The remote has to be pointed DIRECTLY at the XBOX to work. Even then you have to press the buttons more than once for it to work

Does exactly what I needed it for. Controls my new Xbox Series X without issue. And simultaneously lets me control the volume on my non-CEC enabled soundbar.
